Flight historyLast year my flight out of Gainesville for BH/Defcon was delayed, then delayed, then delayed, continuously delayed until I was not only going to miss my connecting flight, but they just told me to come home and fly out first thing the next morning.  This put me into town halfway through the first day of the conference and totally out of whack from traveling on such an early flight.  This year, it looks like we might be up for a repeat performance.  I was curious so I looked up why the flight is late.  The answer?  The outbound flight from Atlanta to Gainesville is not on-time.  It’s ready to go, at the airport, but being delayed on its end.  Is this common you ask?  Why, yes!  Yes, it is.  So common that this particular flight is only on-time 4% of the time.  Now that’s a performance record to be proud of.  You’d have to /try/ to be worse than that.  Next time I research flight performance and pick one that actually has a greater likelihood of being on time than me winning the lottery.

Nice. That’s a handy little website you’ve got there too.

Hope you have a great time in Las Vegas. Let me know when Defcon is next year and I’ll join you (I bet my office will pay for it too :-).
