Sometimes I just need to be put under some pressure to post more. So here it is — I’m going to be posting more. The challenge is to post at least twice a week. I need to get back into the habit since I’ll probably need to be posting regularly to three different blogs in the near future.

First, some good news. I’ve told most folks directly at this point, but it’s time to be a but more public about it. We’re pregnant, and due sometime in April (the due date has floated between April 5, April 12, and April 14 so we just sorta blocked out the whole month on our calendar given that medical science has no idea). So yeah, that’s our little girl! We haven’t quite started with the decorating of the room and all that fun, but as Jaime’s planning on quitting full-time work in January, she should have plenty of time for that.

Fortunately, the first trimester went relatively well. She was nauseous and had a hard time finding food that sounded good, but never threw up and never really was totally sick. Mainly just slept a lot. The past month has been full of little baby kicks, punches, and head-butts. It seems like our little girl’s pretty much constantly on the move, but Jaime thinks she’s finally getting used to it.

Congrats, Jordan. Sorry I missed you on my recent trip to Gainesville!

Congratulations Jordan. I remember talking to you about this in Vegas. All the blogs I link to currently seem to have this in common.

[...] I alluded to it previously, but I’m taking a bit more active role over at Network Computing.  I finally got my official title, “Technology Editor”.  It sounds a bit fancier than it is, though I am one of the main (or the main — I haven’t quite figured that out yet) security beat editors which is nice since I have a lot more say about the direction of what the magazine does. [...]

    Congratulations.

Congrats, Daddyo! I know you’ll be a great father.

    Hugs,
