I would have liked to post earlier this week, but I got hit with a little bug making its way around here. My wife has informed me that neither of my readers would be interested in the exact details of my ailment, so I’ll instead post the following totally unrelated computer security comments:

  • If you have a virus in your input processor, sometimes your system will repeatedly purge your cache until it feels the virus has been sufficiently eradicated.
  • Even after your system has violently purged the virus, your main storage may be corrupted, resulting in several days of down-time and low usage and energy levels.
  • Rebuilding your system after any security incident is time-consuming since you must start over from scratch as all components must be individual restored to proper health. Individual components may demonstrate apparently unrelated failure mechanisms, resulting in the data pipeline being either extremely turbulent, too short, or too long, often within the same processing session.

There. See, not about my illness at all. Just random computer security related topics.

you’re so clever. I love you.

I agree with clever part, but I’ll have to stop there.

    Both readers?

On another note, your blog posts e-mail addresses. Can spam bots pick those up?

Ah, only posts the e-mail address when you don’t put in a homepage. Good to know ;-).
