Items I can cross off my CansecWest/Core06 checklist:

• Share a meal with Theo while he and others discussed esoteric low-level methods to prevent layered return from libc exploits. I can barely even frame the issue, and not at all understand a summary of their discussion, let alone the details.
• Record my first ever podcasts (interviews with Dan Kaminsky, Ivan Arce, and Steve Lord).
• Learn amazing things.
• Chat with Marty about his t-shirt which read: “I got acquired by Checkpoint and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.”
• Meet cool people.
• Get a job offer in Redmond, WA.
• Talk shop with another University security guy who could actually relate to what my job is like.
