So I haven’t been posting much lately. It’s not like nothing’s been going on. In fact, there’s been a ton of very interesting things going on, I just haven’t gotten around to posting on them all. So, in no particular order, here’s some random snapshots of what I’ve been up to:
- Got a lockpick. Learned to pick a number of simple locks. Pretty fun (and useful!) Always wanted to do it, glad I did. Ordered from lockpickshop.com and was happy with the process.
- Moved in to our house. Mostly settled in, but still have some minor things to do. It’s a lot harder to work up the motivation to fix things when you’re living in the house as opposed to just spending a few hours there each day before you have to drive back to another place.
- New car. Bought a used 2002 Saab 95 to replace my old saturn which we gave back to my parents. Wasn’t really planning on it, had my hopes set on a different model, wanted to get it new with the good pricing break they had, but there weren’t any in the area, and in the end, we got a much, much better deal for a car that while it’s 4 years old is in great shape, and is much more of a car than any 92-x will ever be. Not quite as fast probably, but way way faster than any other car I’ve ever had. Put it in sport mode and it really does drive like a sports car. Saab’s are a bit different, but I have to admit, I’ve been supremely happy. Of course, any reasonably nice, reasonably new car would probably have made me just as happy, but this one has a special place for the ignition.
- More articles. Great for the bank account and experience, but not so good on the spare time. I’m finishing up edits on a fourth article right now, and have another much more fun article due sometime in november that I’m really looking forward to.
