So here’s my official list of pros and cons of Canada so far:
| Pros | Cons |
| Exchange Rate | Exchange Rate (not always so good) |
| Prices (Gameboy DS: $180) |
Prices (CDs are mostly cheaper) |
| Loonies and Twonies! ($1 and $2 coins) |
Easier to spend coins. ;-) |
| Food (great food in Vancouver) |
Prices of food (probably just bigcity prices) |
| International Flavor (LOTS of Mandarin!) |
Much like Asia, LOTS of smoking. Blegh. |
| Tabloid papers (all newspapers are a bit like tabloids) |
Most US ones are too, they’re just honest about it here |
| Cable TV in the hotel | Spent too much time watching TLC and HGTV |
| Good public transportation |
Hard to find a map of the bus routes |
The smoking issue would bother me. I am happy that smoking is becoming less and less commonplace here in Florida and also in California nowadays. When I was in Alabama all last summer I just kept thinking about how much I liked the smoke free aspect of Florida.
Did you buy a DS while you were in Canada?
