My second author credit for a ‘real’ publication finally hit the stands (a couple months overdue) this past week. In The Great IPS Test, we tested a bunch of Intrusion Prevention Systems with real live campus traffic as well as some generated attacks to see how the different products handled and how usable they were. It was stressful, it was fun to be done, and it’s really not all that interesting unless you’re at least marginally concerned with security products. And I’m really glad I did it.
great job jordan. we actually just finished testing the ISS NIPS live in one of our production gateways.
