Jaime and I are about to become Card Carrying Members of the adults club. We’re under contract to purchase a house in Gainesville. It was an inevitable step after deciding to stay in the area; a house is a better long-term investment than a condo, and moving now saves us from having to move later if (when) we have kids. It’s been a very stressful weekend deciding to spend nearly a quarter of a million dollars on a house, but it’s a gorgeous house that I’m hoping we can have everyone come visit and enjoy at some point or another.
Closing will be a ways off but that actually works out better for us since we have to hold on to our condo for a few more months or be hit with tax penalties.

That is exciting that you are buying a house. Last time we chat you were thinking of going to Seattle. You know that is rain nine months in Seatle! (quote from Sleepless in Seattle). Glad that you are staying. If you do not mind where did you buy the house? what subdivision?

Nice. I been looking at houses in that area too. But all the houses are out of the price range that I set for myself. Are there any more house for sale in that area? I have not check that area for awhile.
Actually thinking about this: dude..I would have to buy tons of furintures to fill up the place. When I move into where I live now I only came with one car load fill with my books, clothes and laptop.
If I get a place all my stuff can be fitted in the smallest room in the corner in one of these houses.
