Nothing like being woken up at 6:45 by pounding on the front door that turns out to be a county sheriff serving you a couple of subpoenas.

Let’s see; check the trusty pda:
Aug 17, 2:30pm with the DA, and
Aug 26, 9am with the defense (interesting that defense attorny and district attorney BOTH can’t be abbreviated)
First is at the DA’s office, second is at the courthouse.

Are you gonna go into witness protection? What if they go after you with swords?

Were you on speaking terms with the neighbours? And are they likely to recognise you?
Good luck.

In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two seperate yet equally important groups: the police who investigate the crime, and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories.

Duh, dummmm.
I once heard an interesting story about that noise they use there. Don’t remember a thing about it now though, but it was interesting.
Actually, we’re not being called in a case involving the neighbor, but the fellas who showed up with the sword. Probably reasonable, even if it was likely caused by the neighbor dealing dru–Objection, your Honor, speculation. Sustained. Umm, I mean, I don’t know why the fight broke out, just what I saw, and the other odd thing is that only one of the guys is apparently being charged. Maybe the other two settled.
