I was a little brief in my last post, so I probably owe a bit longer of an explanation.

It was indeed the drug dealing neighbor next door who was involved in the fight. We’d been keeping an eye on the house in case anything happened, so I noticed when three suspicious looking (heck, EVERYONE going to that condo is suspicious looking) guys showed up, parked their car in backwards (I didn’t even think about it, but my wife mentioned afterwards that should have been a hint), and walked into the place carrying a sheathed samurai sword.

Five minutes later I heard some clanging and yelling down there, looked through the window and saw the three new people along with the dealer himself running around in the parking lot, the dealer holding the sword, a fight obviously spilling out from the condo into the parking lot. I jumped back and grabbed the phone to call 911, unfrotunately it wasn’t a cordless so I had to lean back and forth between trying to breathlessly give the 911 operator all the details and peering out the window to catch the updates.

The car had started to pull away with one guy driving, two other guys standing on the other side, one holding a knife or gun or something at a threatening angle at the dealer who stood on the otherside yelling while holding the sword, all the while some absolutely nuts neighbor walked up and stood in front of the car in an attempt to keep them from leaving. After not too long he realized that he was probably better letting them leave, and they drove out of the culdi-sac. A few seconds later the dealer got into his car and drove away. The cops showed up a few minutes later and informed us they had managed to catch the first car that left a few miles down the road which surprised me to no end.

Haven’t heard much of an update since then about if charges are going to be pressed, or what not, but I’m more than a little nervous having Jaime staying home alone while I’m at this conference.

They won’t know she is home alone though, and they are probably only interested in their drugs and fights — not the couple a few doors down.

The neighbors next door to me are dealing drugs. It all started when the neighbors friends came over for parties. The only reason they spent the night was to unload their drugs at night when no one is looking out their living room window. Everytime, a new friend comes over bring a box, wrapped gift, or a package that contains illegal substances. They
try to pose as an average family, quite showy. They have three brand new cars. Quite a bit for a person who stays at home all day (waxing the cars, gossiping on his cell phone, smoking cigarettes, and drinking beer all day).

When they first moved in I noticed the man loading small boxes in the back of his Mercedes in broad daylight. After a while, friends started coming over often. One day I was working in my yard and I noticed boxes being delivered to their home by an unmarked delivery truck. My first impression was that they ordered something, but wouldn’t it be delivered by Ups or Fed Ex? The (un)uniformed delivery man walked to their door with a pad to sign. The wife answered the door and the man walked in (I thought it was against delivery policy to enter the home). I kept my eye on that house,
the man did not come out for an hour and the drug lady escorted him out. When she saw me glancing over there, she looked paranoid and went back indoors. I knew right then and there they were up to something.

I also noticed the kids. Their parents try to keep an average impression by having a dog/ cat/ 3 kids, but everyweek a new set of kids is living there. So, from what I gather, they are using this disguise so no one thinks they are different. They are still living next door, but I am afraid to squeal to anyone.

There are all sorts of anonymous tip lines you should consider using. Heck, if you’re paranoid, do it from a payphone on the other-side of town. Nobody has to know it was you.
