I broke down and bought an mp3 player last week. Or at least, I thought I did. I’m still waiting on the darn thing to ship and have been very very ticked off at first buy.com, and now gameve.com. Both say ‘in stock 1-2 days’ however buy.com admitted about 3-4 days after I ordered it that they really didn’t have any in stock. And I had to call them. They claim they were going to let me know in the next 24 hours via email, but I was pretty ticked off. The worst part is that now, a week and a half after I first went to their site, the product is STILL listed as in stock, 1-2 days ships out. I’m really confused; how can I ever know when the product is actually in stock? I have to keep calling, keep checking to find out. Absolutely worthless as far as I’m concerned. I’ve always liked their site, but this is pretty inexecusable. I think I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
In other news, the mp3 player has the longest product name I’ve ever heard. It is (drumroll please):
Creative Labs Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra 40 GB MP3 Player
10 words! Of course, 3 might not be part of the proper name, but still, that’s getting a little ludicrous.
Sweet! Gameve is off the crap-list. The mp3 player shipped last week, they just didn’t update their website, and it should be here tomorrow!
