Sent as an email last week, but I suppose I might as well post it here if anyone’s interested.

Basically I’m selling stuff to get an ipod. :-) This is mostly for entertainment value, but if anyone’s actually interested in anything, leave a comment, or drop an email and we’ll figure it out. Pay actual shipping costs (whatever shipping method you prefer short of a personal delivery by me unless you live in gainesville)

I came to the following conclusions yesterday:

  1. I really wanted an ipod
  2. I really couldn’t afford one right now
  3. I had enough stupid techno crap now anyway

Then I had an epiphany; #2 and #3 could be mutually resolved! Sell my crap! So here it is, it’ll probably start going on ebay in a few days, but until then I’ve brought it all to my office for anyone who’s interested. Prices are negotiable, but I’m a sucker so it’s probably a good deal to begin with.

UPDATED (2004-05-18): Just for completeness I’m going to add the sales that started this whole craziness. Also, the final sale price is not reflected in the costs listed here; some things have sold for less.

    I love my nerd-brother.

Well, in the end, I didn’t even get the ipod. Found a ~much~ better deal on something else:
    http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=90127419&loc=111

It’s possible I’ll regret my decision, but I doubt it. I got it for $235 second-day shipped, which is cheaper than even the cheapest ipod new, so it’s pretty hard to beat, and it’s got 40gb worth of storage. Slightly bigger than the ipods, but appears to have all the features I really want, better battery life, and of course the storage capacity. Plus, there was some deal at the end of the purchase through buy.com where they get you to try some scheme for two months free and you get $25 cash back on the purchase you just made, so I have to fill out some additional paperwork tonight, mail it off, and when the cash comes in, cancel the account. And the total purchase price of the device drops down to $215. Pretty hard to beat.

The nomad was the one I was looking at for just those reasons. Cheaper for a lot of space. Let me know how you like it.

Oh Jordan, you didn’t! You just settled for a blow-up doll of an mp3 player when the Real Thing was in your grasp.

Now I gotta go replace the fuses on the Respect-O-Meter.

I’m Evan Keeler’s roommate. He showed me your sell list. I’m interested in: wireless headphones, 128MB USB thumbdrive. I have PayPal. Shoot me off an email how you want to do this. Rock on.

Just wondering if the Rush was still for sale.. if so is it the square shaped one with the screen in the center??
