I’ve managed to wear my roller blades around the office so far today. I decided at some point to see if I could go the whole day wearing them. I’ve got a meeting I’m going to at 12:45, so that’ll be a bit trickier, but I think I can manage it. We’ll see, I’ll update on my progress.
Well, I didn’t wear my sandals; wore the blades all except for an hour break in the afternoon. Had a bit of fun nearly killing myself blading to my meeting near the new-engineering building. The hill is the steepest on campus and I had to keep my speed low enough that I could turn down a side-street in the middle of a bunch of people crossing the road. Times like that I wish I had kept the heel brake on. I barely managed to avoid falling. Barely, though I think I heard a few people laugh at me trying to keep my balance toward the end.
