Despite Lin saying that there is no such thing (even, he contends, after a divorce), I consider myself a virtual bachelor lately. There have been a number of strange habits of mine that have surfaced that I suspect are partly because being on my own again is a new thing and party because that’s just the slovenly person I naturally am.
For example, right now, I’m half-way through my 12th hour of work and I’m sitting in the lab eating Cheez-ITs. BIG Cheez-ITs no less. I’ll probably roll down to the lounge in a bit an grab a tooth-rotting carbonated beverage.
Yes, roll. I’ve still got my rollar blades on. Last friday I talked Jaime into letting me get a pair of in-line skates to exercise with while she was gone. She was hesitant because she didn’t want me trying to drag her into any crazy thing like in-line skating when she was back. I promised it was just for now and we could do something saner (like running?) when she was back. Anyway, for the second day in a row I went out roller-blading around campus for exercise after work. Though I suppose after-work is a bit of a misnomer.
I’ve been rolling around the office getting things done for the two hours or so after my exercise, evening stopping in the bathroom before I realized what it was I was about to do. I did it, too. No spills or noth’n. Could have made some fun water sprayings rolling on wheels though, I tell you what.
As if anybody needed proof I’m better off with my better half.
Currently, I’m watching the final stages of an install process that I began earlier today–
I have no clue what happened to the rest of this post, but I swear it was typed. Oh well, can’t worry about it now.
Even your writing and spelling has a bit of a bachelor flair to it now.
Style points!!

I’d kill fifteen people for a box of Cheez-ITs.

I’d skate all over campus if it wasn’t for the “NO IN-LINE SKATES” signs on all the buildings. Illinois, being even flatter than Florida, is ideal for skating.

Absolutely.
Just as soon as I remember it…
