First, a quick notice. This is the 100th wantingseed entry. I’d like to take a brief moment to thank the academy, John, and my family who all made this possible. Now back to your regularly scheduled program.
While shooting shotguns was definitely an adventure, it was not even remotely close to the most life-threatening experience of the weekend. Let me sum it up with a list of things I liked and things I didn’t like about the road trip back:
Liked:
- Riding in a massive RV with all the comforts of home. 2 TVs, bed, two nice leather couches, kitchen table, kitchen, bathroom, hard to compare to the same road trip in a car.
- Unlimited wireless internet on my dad’s laptop. Thank you, Sprint.
- Recharging laptops, PDAs, iPods, and cell phones all at the same time because the RV has more outlets than my condo.
- Bathroom on the road. What a life saver.
Didn’t Like:
- Nearly dying at midnight when my grandfather was falling asleep at the wheel, and then refused to let anyone else drive. (Never insult the pride of an old man)
- Nearly dying at 2:30am when a tire blew on the RV while my dad was driving
- Nearly dying at multiple other times when thunderstorms hit hard and traffic suddenly stopped; a 13 ton vehicle towing another vehicle doesn’t stop very quickly
- Three stinky dogs in the same vehicle
- One dog who had it coming out both ends after her stomach couldn’t handle some sausage. (Why?! Why?! For the love of all that’s pure, why would you feed a dog something that could even potentially make it sick when in an RV with 8 people?!)
An aside: while driving through Indiana, I noticed the following sign: “Do not pick up hitchhikers - correctional facility nearby.” Literally less than a quarter mile up the road was a rest stop. Now there’s some good planning.
Thank God you are alive… I am.

I’d be interested to see a breakdown of the posts. A running total of # for Jordan and # for John. Like a little rat race on the sidebar.

Dave spanks us all with his ridiculous matrix post. At least as far as average goes. Total comments could very well break another way.

Dave’s Matrix entry would count as 1 out of the 100, right? I just wondered how many out of the 100 each of you added.

Gotcha; I thought you meant how many people had commented on our entries…

Ask and ye shall receive… a perfect tie. Fitting.

That was awesome, John. In less than two hours after the initial request we have a new metadata table that we can look at. I’m still impressed.
