Twenty-four years ago today, in a church in South Florida, my parents got married. By all accounts, it was something of disaster — air conditioning stopped working, flowers were messed up, photographer sucked — but they loved each other and that was all that mattered. Through thick and through thin, though good times and bad, raising two sons in the process, my parents have stuck it out and seem to be happier all the time.

Happy anniversary, mom and dad.
