Back in the days when I was more inclined to click on these sorts of things, I found by way of an infamous counterculture portal several links to mpegs of a girl in the midst of what can be described as a regrettable lapse in judgment. The minute-long webcam capture showed a girl in a dorm room disrobing while attempting to dance provocatively, an endeavor which was only partly successful. She did manage, however, to get completely naked, a fact not lost on hundreds of forum posters. I learned after the fact that the video was one of the site’s most heavily downloaded files ever, and that to this day copies can be easily found on almost all major p2p services.
I had noticed at the time that the furniture in the video looked suspiciously like those provided by my alma mater’s campus housing authority: the desk as well as the bed. Her room had vertical blinds, a rarity at my university, something only found in newer dorms. I had a roommate who at one point lived in one of the ultra-popular new dorms, so I made a point of asking him at dinner (innocuously as possible, of course) what the blinds in his old residence hall looked like. Vertical blinds, he said.
Curious. What were the odds, I thought. The possibility lingered for about a minute, and then quickly faded.
Fast forward about two years. A couple of guys and I were walking towards the food court at the student union. One of the girls in line caught my attention; she seemed familiar somehow. She wasn’t a friend, she wasn’t in any of my–holy crap, it’s the girl from the internet video! I was sure of it, there was no doubt in my mind. I could hardly contain my glee as turned to my lunch companions: Guys, you won’t believe this, but that girl who just passed by–
“Who?”
The blue shirt, by the door, this is so crazy, there was this website, and like two years ago they posted–
“No fucking way! Dude, that’s the chick from–”
–wait, how did you know–nevermind, spare me the details. Anyways, she goes to our school! How crazy is that?
“Not as crazy as both of us knowing why she’s famous in the first place.”
This has the same feeling as the mysterious picture of a young woman who attended the same high school as us and graduated with us. SHe just happended to look like another internet strip teaser? Although if i had only glanced at this group of photo’s there would be no way i could accurately ID this woman. WHy do i have the odd feeling that the author spent a little more time with this internet idol than he is letting us believe?

No, but if you had seen the video, and remember years earlier thinking that it could have been filmed in a dorm at your University, you may well be able to ID her. I remember the video well, as a matter of fact.
