Let me be the first to say that I like the design for the new twenty dollar bill. It’s not a massive change, but perhaps it’s enough to get our money off the bottom of the world’s currencies in terms of attractiveness. While the old greenback has a lot of symbolism associated with it, looks-wise it has a long way to go compared to, say, Australian money (though I hate how their money feels).
Apparently the Treasury Department is preparing to issue redesigned bills every seven to ten years in an effort (hopeless as it may be) to thwart counterfeiters, so don’t get to used to the way money looks.
There is also going to be a new nickel, not that anyone will notice.
Now they just have to make the dollar stronger. Have you seing the british currency? Their bill are beautifully crafted, the only thing I do not like is the difference in size…
