I’ve always been a fan of getting something for nothing, or at least something for very little. When it comes to making providing more semantic information in text, there’s nothing in the world better than macros, which obviate the need to markup every single instance of an acronym or external link or what have you.
So far I’ve only added some acronym macros and graphic markers for offsite links (the acronym macros are particularly cool), both of which come from tutorials provided graciously by Mark Pilgrim.
I’m watching Apocalypse Now while struggling with sleepiness, and it’s totally freaking me out. But then, I guess that’s the point.
So AOL should be all nice and macroed, huh? Or is that only for posts. Or only your posts? Things I shall discover.
