Born in 1980, John has, for the most part, led a life of steadfast mediocrity. He was born in Boynton Beach, Florida, and lived in South Florida until 1986, when his father was transferred to Orlando. He met Jordan in elementary school, and as mentioned in Jordan's bio sketch, engaged in some spectacularly unintelligent stunts with him during high school.

John has been attending, on-and-off with varying levels of success, the University of Central Florida, where he majored in just about everything imaginable before deciding on political science. Now only a summer semester from graduating, he thinks he may have made the right choice.

A four month trip to China in 2001 has served to shape and focus John's interests to the point that he is planning on returning there as soon as he graduates. He recently accepted a job at Zhejiang University City College teaching conversational English and will leave for the Middle Kingdom around the end of August.

John knows he wants more education but he's not sure what field really interests him. For now, he is content with bumming around the world and learning what cannot be learned in classrooms or from books.
